The Strategy Role-Playing Game (SRPG) is a venerable video game genre. Whether you call it a Strategy RPG, or Tactical Role-Playing Game, the root mechanics are as old as chess. It’s appeared on nearly every modern-era gaming platform and continues to evolve.
We analyze every qualifying SRPG we can find. With high hopes for this genre, we examine every entry, often still enjoying titles with flaws. (They also make for humorous analyses and picture fun.) We use constructive criticism, suggestions, and uplifting praise to promote excellence within the genre we regard so highly.
Click on the “Every SRPG“ tab above and come with us on an open-ended SRPG journey years in the making. Or if you have a specific gaming machine in mind, click on the “Every SRPG by Platform” tab. Enjoy, and let us hear from you by commenting as you see fit.
The SRPG Compendium is active. We take our time constructing posts. We want them to be a fun and accurate historical record. So make your comments and ask your questions without reservation.
