The Strategy Role-Playing Game (SRPG) is a venerable video game genre. It’s sometimes called a Tactical Role-Playing Game (TRPG). Whatever you call it, the root mechanics are as old as chess. It’s appeared on nearly every modern-era gaming platform and has continued to evolve.
We analyze every qualifying SRPG we can find. With high hopes for this genre we take a close look at entries, often still enjoying titles with flaws. (They can also make for humorous analyses and picture fun.) A truthful analysis, with both constructive criticism, suggestions, and uplifting praise, is to promote excellence within the genre we regard.
Click on the “Every SRPG“ tab above and come with us on an open-ended SRPG journey years in the making. Or if you have a specific console in mind, click on the “Every SRPG by Platform” tab. Enjoy, and let us hear from you by commenting as you see fit.
The SRPG Compendium is active. We take our time on the posts to make them fun. So make your comments and ask your questions without reservation.
